PROM NIGHT -- Another Horrible REMAKE!!!

April 14th 2008 04:24
As I shake my head in shame, I have to say this. Any Horror film that is PG-13 that is released, I should not see and wait till video. Yes! Yet again, I went to go see the great remake " PROM NIGHT " and the only thing I can say that was good from this movie was the soundtrack. So here is the deal with this movie.

Filmed in Canada, where it's cheaper to make bad films like this one. A young girl, ( Britney Snow ) is stalked by her teacher( Johnathon Schaech ) who go's insane after he gets a restrainning order placed upon him. 3 years later after killing her mother and placed in a aslyum. The teacher tracks down the girl of his dreams to her Senior prom. Killing anyone that gets in his way with a kinfe.

Sound like you heard this water down story before out of an Urban Legend. Well your right and you can only guess what happens. There is no action here, terrible teenage melo drama. Dumb cops, Surprise Surprise ! Last but not least, no plot line but what you already know. So now, that you have the main point of the story lets look at the first "Prom Night" That stars the great old scream queen, Jamie Lee Curtis.

This old film make in 1980, is a slasher classic. Adored by many, Jamie Lee Curtis plays a young girl whos sister has died. On the day of her Senior Prom, her friends and enemys are stalked by a masked killer. This film had plot, and a little twist. Not only a kinfe was used but other weapons were used as well. The cops still play dumb, but that will never changed. At least, the killer in this film has a better motive then the remake.

What I said before as well as I tell most people. Watch the first one. The only reason why we see these remakes because better effects and with such faith we Horror fans hope that someone will get the clue and make something better then the first. Now this is my own opinion so I hope someone out there liked it and though it worth while. But truely, your better renting the Prom night series and staying home with your bowl of popcorn.

Now I thank those who have been reading my thoughts and I hope all of you enjoy what I have to say. But I think it's now time to answer that question that I posted up. In the last blog. Anyone remember? " WHAT 80'S HORROR SERIES HAS 4 PARTS BUT NO PART 3? " WELL GIVE UP? Sorry not telling anyone yet. I saw no one answer or dared tried to answer so I'm going to hold off from the aswer until some can post some comments and say what they think the answer is.

BLOODY BLOGS,
