Director: Jaime Balageuro & Paco Plaza
Screenplay: Jaime Balageuro & Paco Plaza
Production: Spain
Year: 2007
Sub-genre tags: supernatural, occult
Tagline: Whatever you witness ... Never stop recording
Logline: A young TV presenter and her cameraman become trapped in an apartment building infected with a supernatural strain of rabies.
Core cast: Manuela Velasco (Angela Vidal), Ferran Terraza (Manu), Pablo rosso (Pablo), David Vert (Alex), Jorge-Yamam Serrano (Joven)
Memorable moment: The last ten or so minutes in the penthouse apartment with the infra-red camera.
Curious Fact: The movie was shot chronologically with the actors denied the script in its entirety, instead only provided with their scenes on the day of filming. This meant that more often than not the actors were genuinely stressed, nervous and apprehensive, much to the directors' satisfaction.
Intensity levels:
Blood & gore: medium
Fear factor and/or frights: high
Likelihood of bad dreams (disturbing content): low
Horrorphile’s two cents: A lean mean killing machine. Plot mechanics are pared back so vehemently one wonders if the original treatment ran longer than a paragraph. Directors have cleverly tapped a throbbing juglar, pulsing with the tainted blood of a good old-fashioned "things that go bump in the night" flick.
