Memorable moment: While hallucinating from the effects of Videodrome, Max discovers a large vagina-like slit in his stomach and is compelled to probe the handgun he’s holding inside the orifice. He pulls his hand out in shock, but he’s not holding the gun, the slit has closed up, and he’s no longer hallucinating either.
Curious Fact: Most of the videocassettes shown in the movie are Betamax (which had been knocked out of the domestic market by VHS) because their size best suited Rick Baker's special effects slit created in James Woods’ false stomach.

Horrorphile’s two cents: Videodrome is essential viewing for those with strong stomachs and strong minds. It is a film far more relevant now than it ever was; a dark and disturbing, yet cyber-shining example of how visionary David Cronenberg has always been.
